What's in a name?
The story behind Le's Isle Rose...
In 1614, Dutch explorer and trader Adriaen Block charted parts of Rhode Island and Narragansett Bay. He was so enamoured by the red soil that he found on RI shores that he named the place "red island".
When we named our gift store, we wanted to embrace this special piece of history and chose Le's Isle Rose or "red island". The name reflects our proud Rhode Island heritage as well as the beauiful and interesting things that customers can expect to find at the store.
